If you take medication on a long term basis, you can ideally request a repeat prescription online via the link at the top of this page. If you are not registered for this service, please ask at reception or the dispensary for details.
(Online requests placed after 5pm on a Friday, will not be processed until the next working day).
Alternatively, you can now telephone the Practice on 01406 422231, Option 2, Option 2 between 2.30 & 4.30pm Mon-Fri.
As a last resort, you can bring your repeat prescription request into the practice and hand it in over the Dispensary Hatch if you are unable to order online or by telephone.
Your prescription will normally be available for you to collect within 48 working hours. (Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays DO NOT count as working days)
Requests for any medication(s) which you do not currently have on your repeat list will require a request being made to one of our GP'S or external Pharmacists for them to review your records to see if they are happy to continue prescribing that medication for you. The GP/Pharmacist may need to speak to you and this may mean a delay in that item or items being dispensed.
Dispensing and Delivery of Medications
Littlebury Medical Centre has an in-house dispensary where its patients can have their prescriptions dispensed.
If, however, you live within 1 mile (as the crow flies) of a Community Pharmacy, we are unable to dispense to you and you will need to nominate a Pharmacy for us to send your prescriptions to.
The practice offers a free medication delivery service for it's dispensing patients.
Patients on repeat medication may be asked to see or speak to a doctor, pharmacist, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review their regular medications. A notification of your review date will appear on your repeat medication slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
